Nantucket Culinary Center & The Corner Table
Situated on the corner of Broad and Federal Streets, this historic building occupies a prime location in downtown Nantucket, but many years of deferred maintenance had contributed to its deterioration. In 2012, the Town of Nantucket vacated the building. It remained unoccupied until 22 Federal LLC purchased it in 2014. After the transformative and sustainable building renovation was completed in 2016, the Nantucket Culinary Center and Corner Table Cafe opened for business.
Throughout the renovation process, Nantucket Looms Interiors participated in all aspects of the project including: recommending cork floors for the dining room; custom-upholstered seating in the cafe; handpainted walls quoting Julia Childs in the main stairwell; and hand-forged lighting from Vermont. The result is a first-class teaching, cooking and eating facility accessible to the public.
